Hello. I'm a law student in Williamsburg, Virginia. You can find out more about me, if you'd like; or, enjoy the rest of the site.

What if blog was one of us?

Mark Pike is a native of Virginia Beach, VA and currently lives in Williamsburg, VA where he is a J.D. candidate at the William & Mary School of Law. He graduated from Duke University (’04) with a degree in Public Policy and a certificate from the Center for Documentary Studies.

After graduating from Duke, Mark worked as a grassroots organizer during the 2004 presidential election. From there, he held various other jobs including stints as a baker, bike messenger, Easter bunny, music reviewer, non-profit employee, and bar bouncer.

Prior to law school, Mark was employed at the Center for American Progress where he was on the online communications team. He assisted the Communications Department in Web site maintenance and multimedia design. And, he also led the “Kick the Oil Habit” cross-country road trip campaign, which generated significant press coverage including a launch event with Barack Obama.

After his first year of law school, Mark was a summer clerk at the Electronic Privacy Information Center. After his second year of law school, Mark was a summer associate with a private practice law firm in Northern Virginia.

He is the editor of the W&M ACS Blog, and has contributed writing to the National ACS Blog, Campus Progress, Free Darko, and The Huffington Post. Mark is also a DJ at his local college radio station, WCWM, and will gladly play any requests.

He loves photobooths, polaroids, road trips and anachronistic technology.

Mark Pike writes here because it builds characters.
